I was not disappointed! It was really easy to set up, and not hard at all to snap the color sprays into the device. My five year old could use this within minutes, and it has been keeping her entertained daily. The stencils are sturdy, it comes with four starter colors and two "wonder" markers and a nice pack of paper to get you started. On the down side, the paper goes quickly! Buy an extra pack, so that you don't have to run out to WalMart! My only other minor issues: 1)The color does take a few seconds to show up on the paper. If you have used "Wonder" products before, you know this to be true, but I thought it took even a bit of extra time for the color to develope. Just be aware that the paint IS coming out, or you will soak the paper! 2) There is no Off switch, so be aware that this toy will spray if the button is pressed. It won't stain things, but it could make a mess if you aren't paying attention to your active child...
