Owner Reviews, Ratings, Comments and Criticism Well, this is an interesting game to say the least. The basics of the game are as follows: You roll a die and move around a map trying to obtain more booty cards (rum, gold or silver) to match your treasure hunt card. Once you have enough, the game will tell you where you need to sail to bury your treasure. You can fight, plunder and dock at islands to get more booty cards. But be careful, you can lose these cards too! Land on any space on the map and check your coordinates from the DVD to see if you've found anything. Other than the red ship, the other 3 look almost the same so it's kind of hard to tell exactly what ship is what. Also, going to the DVD remote every single turn really drags the game out. Yes it is entertaining for about the first 10 minutes, then after that, it just gets tedious. You input your coords, you wait for the scene to load, you watch the scene, you click out of the scene to go back to the main menu so you can do it all over again. A typical turn is like this: Roll dice...move ship...attack if you can...go to a port if you can...if not, enter coords on DVD and see if you've found any booty...next persons turn. Cool idea, but fun really only fun for about 15 minutes, then it just gets old. Save your booty and buy the movie on DVD when it comes out for more entertainment than this.
