The cheerfully inept SpongeBob splits his pants while hoisting marshmallows in a weightlifting competition, to the amusement of the crowd. So if it's funny once, it must be funny five times, right? Next, Squidward gets trapped in the Krusty Krab freezer and time travels to a future of Spongetrons and back to a prehistoric SpongeBob and Patrick--not a pretty sight. There's also a cure for Sandy the squirrel's homesickness for Texas, underwater ghost stories when SpongeBob and Squidward work the night shift, and the sponge's aforementioned sea onion breath in this 10-episode compilation. Don't look for any double-entendres to amuse the parents here; this two-hour collection of goofing around is strictly for kids, ages 4 to 10. --Kimberly Heinrichs Back Cover Copy Ripped Pants SpongeBob tries to impress Sandy at Mussel Beach, and accidentally rips his pants! SB-129 Squidward flees to the Krusty Krab in search of quiet and winds up frozen in the freezer. When he finally thaws, he finds himself far into the future and wondering how to go back! Jellyfishing When SpongeBob and Patrick find Squidward is recovering from a bicycling accident, they take him jellyfishing so he can have his "best day ever." Unfortunately, their good intentions wreak havoc on Squidward's recovery efforts. Dying For Pie Squidward accidentally lets SpongeBob eat an exploding pie. To alleviate his guilt, Squidward resolves to make SpongeBob's few remaining hours enjoyable. And that makes Squidward more miserable than ever! Wormy Sandy's taking a trip and puts SpongeBob and Patrick in charge of her pet caterpillar. When the caterpillar turns into a butterfly overnight, SpongeBob and Patrick are convinced this new creature ate "Wormy" and is now after them and the rest of Bikini Bottom! F.U.N. SpongeBob is convinced Plankton's so evil because he's lonely, so he befriends the little guy. Unfortunately, everyone sees that Plankton is using SpongeBob to get to the secret krabby patty recipe. It's up to Mr. Krabs to reveal Plankton's plot to SpongeBob. Club SpongeBob SpongeBob and Patrick's clubhouse has no room for Squidward. Literally. After reading this review, please click on the link so that you can be assurred that the product this review applies to is the same one you thought it was for. -------------------------------------------------- I'm not going to comment on the episodes because almost all of them can be found on the Season 1 & Season 2 box sets, which is how you're better off seeing them (at least they're in order and paired together with the proper companion episodes). Instead I will be focusing on the bonus features. Not the Violent Femmes music video, because that too can be found on the Season 1 box set, but on the cast and crew interviews that make up the rest of the bonus features. I love the interviews and the "in studio" voice recording re-enactments, but I *HATE* how EVERY piece of this great footage is ruined because someone thought it would be a great idea to cover up almost the entire screen with a bubble graphic frame. You can only see the video through a small round part of the middle of your tv screen, and even then it isn't clear as there's a bubble "shine" over it. I'd love for Paramount/Nick to include all of the original, non-bubblefied footage on the season 3 box set, even though most of the episodes are for seasons 1 and 2.
