She absolutely loves the music and the gushy feel of the board, but she can't press hard enough to make any design and the little toys are better for clinking together and making noise. She can press hard enough to make the music and she likes when we draw and then she smashes it with her hands. I think that she will really enjoy this more when she is older. If you are considering this toy for a child younger than one I would strongly advise you to wait until they are older. It is a good toy, but really for children a little older. The toy is covered in a hardy plastic, but I wouldn't let them use it unsupervised. It seems like a pointy object could tear it and I would not like that mess. Also, the scroll eraser thing need a couple of moves to clear the screen and sometimes you have to do it with your own hand. Definitely too much for a 9 month old.
